Rural House Spain

Casa Rurales, rural houses or country homes, when translated from Spanish to English, are government registered holiday houses similar to the Gites system in France (Gites de France). The rural houses are inspected and registered by the provincial governements of Spain thus ensuring their standards. They are mostly older, traditional properties that have been renovated by the owners offering accommodation of a different and more interesting variety, often in more out of the way situations. You will not find here modern villas in developments or holiday complexes on the Costas, but you will find some beautiful properties to rent for your holiday in some undiscovered areas of Spain - from the hot plains of the Meseta to the many mountain ranges; in smaller villages or in their own grounds in the countryside. Don't worry about speaking Spanish - through this website we offer a translation service. In some cases an owner's website may be in Spanish and this is indicated by a Spanish flag.

Spain is comprised of Autonomous Regions some of which are divided into Provinces. For those regions that are not divided you will be given the name of the region again if you click on the Provinces search.
